I stand stoically, Staring down time. A muinite passes by, and a minute passes by and before long, minutes have passed by. It's a good thing this next moment is mine. This waiting has me torn down, Physically exhausted From inactivity and doubt. Once door closes and another opens Just to close again I'm sneaking out windows I'm covering myself with leaves, with sand A ninja, a shadow The pill you didn't even bother to ask what it was The last person fighting for an otherwise lost cause. These minutes keep passing by, but there's something else. The minutes melt away to hours and the hours give themselves to days and the days have a mind of their own They make the decision to stay. No matter what words I speak to them They never answer They just give cold stares. Their stares never cease, break or pause. Their states never cease, break or pause Now we're the last two people fighting, for an otherwise lost cause.
